MEMBER SPOTLIGHT –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Foth, a national engineering and consulting firm, replaced its head- quarters with a brand-new facility in De Pere, Wis., that sported a very contemporary look. Large-format ceramic tile greets visitors in the lobby. Between the product size and its prominence within the building, a precision install was required in order to achieve clean lines. H. J. Martin and Son handled the entire flooring installation, which was more than 100,000 sq. ft.. As part of the $170-million expansion of the Sheboygan, Wis., corporate headquarters of Acuity, a property and casualty insurance provider to consumers and businesses, the building structure was doubled in size, from 450,000 sq. ft. to more than one million sq. ft. to meet current and future space needs. Up to 20 H.J. Martin and Son installers worked on this large-scale project at any one time. In such a grand facility with diverse needs, a wide variety of products was utilized, including ceramic and rubber tiles. The restrooms of North Greenville (Wis.) Elementary School, a new construction, utilize patterned tile work that ties into the school’s large, col- laborative spaces with fun colors throughout. Beyond the intricate pattern work, the project’s great- est challenge was schedule, with a hard completion date in place in order for the school to be operational for the new school year. Thanks to the size of its installation team and other avail- able resources, H.J. Martin and Son was able to utilize 22 installers to ensure an on-time finish and quality craftsmanship. 84 TileLetter | January 2018
