34 2017 | TECH 24” x 24” format is very common with most customers preferring nothing smaller than this size and in fact choosing 30” inches and larger. • Customers want large plank size wood looks as long as 60”. • We are selling a tremendous amount of thin format porcelain tile. • Glass mosaic continues to be a top- selling trend with all customers; I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. • For some reason, we sell very little of the metallics. • We sell very little ceramic, as opposed to porcelain. The little we sell is wall tile. • Import is still strong for South Florida due to easy accessibility from two large ports in our back- yard. However, with many factories in the U.S. and more being built, it opens up additional options to distributors. • Rustic look tiles aren’t as popu- lar today in the fashion of South Florida. Most are going to mini- malistic marble and stone looks in large format. • The linen looks have been strong but we have seen them slowing. We have seen interest in new tex- tile looks lately. • We are seeing more 2mm slab por- celains and I believe this trend will continue.
