For the third year in a row, the proceeds of the event ben- efitted Paving Access to Veteran’s Employment (PAVE) – a program for Paralyzed Veterans of America. Sponsors’ and participants’ gener- ous contributions help to fund a private grassroots program provid- ing vital free services to veterans in need. David Allen Company is the Title Sponsor of the event, with strong support from Eagle Sponsors Daltile and LATICRETE International. The NTCA proudly participated as a dinner sponsor. First quarter a success for NTCA Workshop program During the last week of April, the NTCA Workshop program expe- rienced an outstanding week of educational seminars, netting many new members who have joined the association. Technical train- er Mark Heinlein and his wife Connie have been in their home state of Michigan, working in the lower peninsula at the tail end of a long trip they have made since Coverings. With support from both members and state ambassadors, Mark and Connie have been treated to large and enthusiastic crowds. On the west coast, Robb Roderick, NTCA Technical trainer from Missouri, kicked off a Pacific Northwest swing by signing up eight new members in Salem, Ore. Robb was assisted by NTCA Region 9 Director Dirk Sullivan, and State Ambassadors Jason McDaniel and William White, who helped Robb to sign up eight new NTCA mem- bers. In fact, April of 2017 rounded out one of the best membership recruit- ing months the association has ever had, as 61 new members joined in the month of April alone. Utilizing four trainers, over 140 educational workshops and training sessions are scheduled for 2017, the most training seminars in NTCA his- tory. In addition to record-breaking workshop numbers, for the first time ever, the association will per- form training programs in Spanish,
