mixing and bag mixes. Installers will then mix their own mud so that they understand the consis- tency that is needed, set screeds, and pack mud. Those installers in the Gauged Porcelain Tile track will learn about the new ANSI standards for these products, tools that should be used to handle, cut, and install, as well as substrate prep requirements. Installers will then handle, cut, and install these products on floors and walls. Since both topics are part of the Advanced Certifications for Tile Installers (ACT) pro- gram, installers will also go home with the ACT study guide for the track that they participated in. Because we want to make sure that all partic- ipants have a hands-on experience, each track will be limited to 20 installers. You can find registration information on our website at www. tile-assn.com. If the train- ing that you are inter- ested in is full, please sign up for the wait list, so we can contact you to attend if we have can- cellations. Since we are limiting the number of attendees, no-shows will be charged $50 on the credit card that is used at registration. This seminar is a trial run for a full roll out of regional train- ing opportunities to debut next year. Currently, the plan is to have two seminars per NTCA region per year. Those attending the NTCA Training and Education meeting at Total Solutions Plus will learn the results of this seminar along with more details for next year’s seminar programs.
