–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– NTCA UNIVERSITY UPDATE from contractors is that we need to have training on how to use all of the industry publica- tions and reference documents, including the ANSI books, the TCNA Handbook, and the NTCA Reference Manual. In this course, we review the basic information that can be found in each book and when you would use each book. For example, we review types of details available in the TCNA Handbook including movement joints. We also introduce the learner to the process to create each reference book that brings the industry together to get a con- sensus on issues and/or concerns that need to be addressed. And finally we discuss product data sheets provided by the manufac- turers. While the reference manu- als are all important, you also have to understand that the infor- mation provided by the manufac- turer must also be followed. Remember, you can purchase your all-access subscription by visiting the NTCA store. Make sure that you are logged in to get your introductory pricing. If you purchase this subscription, you will have access to all of the learning content, including any- thing new that is created through December 31, 2017.
