As projects unfold, more information will be made available. • Membership: We finished the year with 1,321 members! We will set a new goal of 1,400 members for 2017 and 1,500 members as a realistic tar- get for 2018. • TISE West/Surfaces: We held com- mittee meetings and a state ambas- sador reception in conjunction with TISE West in Las Vegas. ° NTCA and CTEF had a large booth and conducted live demonstra- tions on the show floor. ° Mark Heinlein and Robb Roderick did multiple live demonstrations on the Installation Showcase stage. Scott Carothers hosted a CTI certification and Kevin Insalato and Scott trained several regional evaluators here, in efforts to prepare them to be certification testing instructors. ° Many NTCA contractor members participated in the conference program. • BusinessTraining Programs: We have filled the two-day business training class called Making The Numbers Work. This will take place February 23rd and 24th in Dallas, Texas. • Tom Ade Scholarship: NTCA con- tractor member family members and employees are eligible for up to $5,000 in scholarship funds from NTCA, thanks to a generous sponsor- ship from Tom Ade. Last year, we gave out $7,500 in financial aid to two deserving recipients. This is a new and dynamic sponsorship, creating a simulated NASCAR experience on the show floor. NTCA is seeking sponsor partners to participate in the program. The NASCAR vehi- cle will be by the NTCA booth near the Installation Stage. ° Installer/Contractor confer- ence programming is in devel- opment as are NTCA Awards Night, Contractor Days, Live Demonstrations and more. ° If you have a high-quality tile installation, please consider submitting it for CID Awards at Coverings.
