Whistler, who has been a NTCA technical train- er and presenter since December 2010, has left the association to resume work as a tile contractor in California. The Whistler duo was a dynamic presence at indus- try events, and Michael was very active in offering technical advice to those calling and emailing the association. They are a well-loved team in the industry and will be missed. Michael passed the baton to Robb Roderick, NTCA’s newest technical trainer and presenter. He has been in the tile industry for nearly 25 years. In that time he has worked with homeowners, builders, archi- tects, and interior design profes- sionals on projects in both residen- tial and commercial settings. He has been a member of the NTCA for several years and is a CTEF Certified Tile Installer. He gradu- ated from Missouri State University in 2000. Robb also served in the United States Army as a medic. He lives with wife Cherie and three dogs on a small farm outside of Springfield, Mo. Together with Mark Heinlein, who joined NTCA as technical trainer and presenter when longtime trainer Gerald Sloan left NTCA to join the technical team at MAPEI, and CTEF’s Scott Carothers, Roderick will tour the country bringing NTCA Workshops and CTEF Educational Programs to local audiences nationwide.
