NTCA NEWS TileLetter | May 2017 105 both have previously received Tile Person of the Year recognition. $10,000 awarded in Tom Ade Ceramic Tile Scholarships At the NTCA Awards, Tom Ade Ceramic Tile Scholarships were pre- sented, made possible by longtime NTCA member Tom Ade, a former NTCA regional director and a pre- vious recipient of NTCA’s Ring of Honor and Tile Person of the Year Awards. Noah Boek, son of Christian Brothers’ vice president Brian Boek, received a $5,000 check, presented by NTCA president Martin Howard and Tom Ade him- self. Hunter Marshall, nephew of Kevin Fox, Fox Ceramic Tile, received a $2,000 Award of Merit. Grant Rheinschmidt, son of Larry Rheinschmidt, Rheinschmidt Tile & Marble, also received a $2,000 Award of Merit, but was not present to attend. Allison Hohn, daughter of Jan Hohn of Hohn and Hohn, Inc., was awarded a $1,000 Special Recognition Scholarship in absentia. Twenty-six applicants vied for the scholarships. Three Coverings Rock Stars are NTCA members NTCA honored several of the Coverings Rock Stars – a recog- nition award for best emerging talent.
