Tile Person of the Year Steve Young This year the NTCAS Tile Person of the Year Award was presented to Steve Young of Steve Young Associates located in White Plains Ga. An active and supporting mem- ber of the NTCA since 1976 Young strongly supported the associations traveling workshop program in its early years traveling around the country with Joe Tarver and other industry leaders educating contrac- tors on installation techniques and new technology. Tarver Lifetime Achievement Award Tim Curran Tim Curran co-president of the Curran Group owners of Crossville Inc. of Crossville Tenn. received the prestigious Joe A. Tarver Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is offered to a leader in the tile and stone industry who dedi- cates hisher career to advancing the trade. The Curran Group a family-owned business since 1918 has supported a legacy of leader- ship at Crossville for more than 30 years in the industry fostering a reputation for quality and custom- er service. The leadership team at Crossville recognized the need for qualified installation and was the first company to support the NTCA Five Star Contractor Program with a volume discount program and hosting Five Star Contractor sum- mit meetings.
